Sorry for not posting in awhile! The end of the semester was pretty hectic, but I made a long house mix for y'all to indulge in. There's some stuff you may have heard and plenty that you haven't. Check it out.
If you've ever seen the show Community, you know who Donald Glover is. If you've ever watched 30 Rock, he's written most of the episodes. Don's fucking hilarious, I've watched his side project comedy stuff for awhile and love it all. He's extremely witty, so he decided to kick start a rap career under the name Childish Gambino. His rhymes are clever and can be pretty funny. I love his swagger over tracks, and he uses some original samples for beats. This was the first song I'd ever heard from him and immediately loved it. You can get all of his newest songs here and download his most recent album here.
If you're partying hard this weekend and getting fucked up on the dance floor, get at these songs. Hide your subwoofers, they will blow out. These are not for the faint of heart.
Flo Rida - Puzzle The only reason I'm posting this song is because it took one of the sickest electro songs I've ever heard and flipped it into a smash hit. I'm honestly impressed with Flo Rida or whoever gave him the idea to sample the original song, which would be this..
Electrixx - Tetris Just the fact that it samples Tetris is enough for me
JayZ-99 Problems (The Prodigy Remix). The Prodigy have remixed the Jay-Z song "99 Problems." Try to protect your ear drums from melting you pussies. Click link to download.
Christopher Walken was onto something when he uttered the words, "I need more cowbell," on the stage of SNL many years ago. Bands that use the cowbell effectively hold a special place in my heart. The Polarsets are a trio that hail from the United Kingdom and trust me when I tell you they are going to be big. Below I've included two great songs from them and a pretty great techno remix of one of their songs. On "Morning," lead singer Rob Howe sings "I'm wide eyed at four in the morning," and if you want to be too check out these songs.
Listen to anything from The Crooklyn Clan. They're a team of hip hop and mashup DJs. There are several DJs on the squad and they make the best party songs. They made the two Fatman Scoop song that everyone knows (here's the other one). The only downside is that their songs cost like $4 a pop, so here are a few of the best ones I have from Serafin, Discotech, and one from the Anthem Kingz.
Serafin: He's fucking nasty and continually makes the dirtiest mashups and remixes. Pretty much every song he makes is a party banger, like these two. Bmore Believing (Serafin Remix) - Journey Blur Song 2 - DJ Serafin (Solely 1:00 - 2:00 is great for DJ use to transition songs and it bumpssss, otherwise I actually think the rest of the song is decent)
Discotech: They make some pretty ill songs. They take some great old songs, like Roxanne and Superstitious, and make them sound even better.
Anthem Kingz: I don't know much about them at all except that this mashup is dope. It was great for Halloween, but it's still dirty to play all the time anyway.
Ra Ra Riot- The Antler Orchard (Peter Silberman Remix) . So I am in the middle of a night out on the town and just thought I would post a feel good song. Mellow but I think it an impossible feat to listen to this song without a smile on your face. Enjoy. Oh and click the link to download.
Empire of the Sun- Walking on a Dream (Treasure Fingers Remix). Here is a remix of an older song by Empire of the Sun by Treasure Fingers. I think its impossible to listen to this song and not be in a great mood. Try it out and tell me if I am wrong. Click link above to download.
Delphic- Acolyte . This has been in my ipod for a few months but it is probably one of my favorite electro songs to come out in a long time. It's by the band Delphic who hails from the UK. They have quite some hype about them over there and I think its time they got it here in the United States. Their entire cd is amazing but the song Alcolyte is especially amazing. Listen to this song all the way through and tell me you dont love it. Click the link above to download.
What up. Deadmau5' new LP 4x4=12 is dropping soon. He's released most of the tracks already, so here's the newest one called Right This Moment. It was titled Moonlight Sonata Esque for awhile. Unfortunately the download has radio tags like the preview does, but it's the best quality out. Deadmau5- Right This Moment
He also put up an unfinished track called Get In The Cart, Pig, on his soundcloud today. I personally love the song Strobe and this has a really similar feel.
And just because I feel like it, get this shit. Straight fire. I plan on posting a ton of Wolfgang stuff soon so you can get caught up on the hottest producer out right now.
Hey Champ- Cold Dust Girl (Gemini Club Remix) . This is a remix by Gemini Club of a song done a few years back by Hey Champ. Original song was great but this remix gives a whole different feel to it. I have had it on repeat since I first heard it and who am I to hold out on you guys? Download song by clicking on the link.
This new track is called Skrillex-With Your Friends from the album titled My Name is Skrillex EP. Also I am the newest member of the Blue Moons in the Shower crew so hope you enjoy my first post.... and if you dont you are a coward. Click the link to download.
If you don't know who Pretty Lights is, you've been missing out. In case you don't know, Pretty Lights is an electronic music artist based out of Colorado named Derek Smith. His music samples tons of different genres and mixes them into an awesome creation. Honestly, he's the fucking truth. He's my favorite DJ and all of his music is free which is a bonus. Derek has released 3 albums and just recently 3 EPs. You can get them on his website, and get em cause they're goooood.

Here's a video of him performing the first song I ever heard by Pretty Lights, it got me hooked immediately.
Chase N. Cashe and Hit Boy are two really ill producers who have made hits like Drop The World by Weezy and Eminem. Their production is no joke, and it's all part of their Surf Club movement. I feel like they're severely underrated and still obscure considering how huge Drop The World was, and they have a bunch of other hits under their belts. This track is defintely my favorite and they also happen to rap over it. The video is cool as shit, too.
Okay so mostly everyone loves that song "Like A G6", and there have been a pretty solid amount of DOPE remixes. Try whatever your liking is, they're all pretty different but the mashes are with some other bangers:
Sup Blue Mooners? We're here to bring you music of all types, anything that can get a party or club rocking to chill laidback stuff. Let's get started on this blog shit and post some bangin' moon tunes.
